David Buck is a successful Oregon-based entrepreneur. He is an expert horticulturist with a degree from Oregon State University. Shortly after graduation, he invested in and operated a local apple orchard. With knowledge and experience tucked under his belt, Buck decided to pass on the information to other entrepreneurs. He focuses on Sustainable Horticultural Production, Horticultural Research, Ecological Management of Turf, Landscape, Urban Horticulture, Therapeutic Horticulture, and Viticulture & Enology. David has worked alongside local strawberry farms, state parks, and flourishing vineyards and wineries.

David Buck enjoys helping entrepreneurs understand more about investing in horticulture, whether they are looking at farms, orchards, or vineyards. He is proud of his research and expertise in sustainable horticulture as well as urban horticulture and landscaping. Buck is an advocate for sustainable farming and is a proud sponsor of the Future Farmers of America. David Buck believes that mentoring young adults who are interested in farming and other areas of the horticulture business will help bring further awareness to sustainable farming.

David teaches other farmers about therapeutic horticulture and has worked closely with care facilities on how to incorporate designing healing gardens for patients and caregivers at medical and other care facilities, designing and using horticultural systems for people with disabilities, and using therapeutic horticulture to assist people with physical, emotional, or mental challenges  in gaining skills, adaptations, and coping methods that enhance their lives.

In his free time, David and his partner enjoy traveling abroad. He also enjoys reading and working in his own garden while also volunteering in the local urban garden which he started as a project close to his heart. There he gives lessons on growing and harvesting plants for self-sustainability. He also teaches about harvesting and preserving seeds for future use. You can catch him in his small apple orchard giving tours to children and families alike.
